Responsible for the development, enhancements, troubleshooting,
fixes, and ongoing maintenance of ABAP related customizations to the SAP
applications, which support the eCommerice Order fulfilment business areas.
Position includes ongoing project-based development work, as well as day to day
support of existing applications. Serve as a technical expert resource for IT
Staff in other areas. Applications in the environment include core SAP ERP
applications including SAP S4/HANA, with modules including SD, MM, LE, FI, CO.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsible for development and ongoing maintenance/enhancements
of business systems.
Ability to analyze business requirements, review existing
systems, define the solution, and translate that into detailed programming
Ability to take detailed programming designs and perform the
development required to translate them into efficient and accurate code.
Capable of effectively communicating with internal and external
customers possessing various levels of technical knowledge. Ability to
determine the underlying issue when presented with sometimes ambiguous and/or
contradictory information; demonstrate good listening skills.
Ability to quickly solve/determine problems working with
technical/non-technical groups in areas that may not be primary area of
Technical Database Expertise and User Support:
Development projects as assigned, including requirements
documentation through design, development, testing and support documentation.
Day to day support, administration and maintenance as support
for reported issues with assigned application areas/systems.
Support IT Help Desk with any SAP ABAP related issues:
Liaison to SAP Support for any ABAP related tickets.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Extensive experience in ABAP development, with both custom
development and customizations to existing processes, including use of IDOCs,
ALE, RFC, BAPI, BADI, ALV, LSMW, ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, Reports
(Classical and Interactive Reports), BDC (Batch-Input and Call Transaction Methods),
SAP Scripts, Enhancements.
Experience with SAP Smart Forms, including custom forms and
enhancements to existing SAP forms, output methods, determinations, etc.
Experience developing and using Info sets, SQVI, SAP Query.
Exposure to EAI/B2B interfaces developed in SAP PI (formerly XI
or Exchange Infrastructure) for interfaces, including mapping and IDOC
Experience with SAP partner applications and their integrations
Experience in full development life cycle - all areas and phases
of the SDLC.
Database experience - SQL Server.
Prefer experience with SAP Business Objects BI Suite.
Prefer experience with Crystal Reports and the SAP Integration
Prefer experience with Fiori Development
Windows operating system expertise (Windows Server, and Windows
7 desktop operating systems).
SAP Application Areas:
Good understanding of business process flows in SD, LE, MM and
FI, CO areas, including master data setup, and standard SAP order to fulfilment
processes in a distribution environment.
Must have “can do” attitude and be able to work independently.
Great written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with the
ability to handle multiple priorities.
Individual must have proven ability to support multiple projects
on an aggressive timeline.
Knowledge of distribution industry processes and the ability to
generate functional requirements and design documents to solve business
problems a strong plus.

Requires Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
Prefer 3 years hands-on SAP development work experience.
